We are excited to remind you that our Annual Lotería Night is coming up on September 24th from 5:00–6:30 PM! We hope you can join us for an evening filled with food, fun, and time together as a Whittier community.
Please bring a dish to share!
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Desserts and drinks
2nd & 3rd Grade: Side dishes and salads
4th & 5th Grade: Main dishes
In addition to sharing a meal, we will be playing Lotería! We will have fun prizes for our winners!
We are also excited to welcome Ballet Folklórico Erandi, a local dance troupe, who will be performing for us. We are especially excited that some of the performers are Whittier students and parents!
We are looking forward to spending the evening together and celebrating our wonderful Whittier community. We can’t wait to see you there!
As a reminder, please be mindful when parking in the family lot. We ask that cars do not block handicap or loading spaces. The church in front of us has graciously agreed to continue letting us utilize their parking lot at arrival and dismissal.
Our next early release is tomorrow, September 23rd at 1:03 p.m.!

Today we had our first fire drill of the year with the Waukegan Fire Department! Our students and staff did a wonderful job following safety expectations. Please talk with your child at home about fire safety as well.
As a reminder next week we have an Early Release on 09/23/26 (1:03 p.m.) and our Loteria Night on 09/24/26 (5:00-6:30 p.m.).

*This event is for Whittier families only. All students must be accommodated by their guardian at all times.
