Whittier Elementary School

One of our WPS students from Whittier Elementary, Jamie Saucedo, was selected to receive the Infinitec Outstanding Student Technology Achievement Award for the Infinitec IL North region, and her team and family attended an award ceremony on April 23rd to celebrate this accomplishment. Award recipients are selected to recognize their outstanding achievement in overcoming challenges and reaching personal goals through the use of technology. The Infinitec team selected Jamie to give a reflection speech to celebrate the hard work of all the award winners and their teams. Jamie was nominated for this award by the WPS Assistive Technology Unit, Ashley FitzSimmons-Olsen and Ben Viirre, her speech-language pathologist, Sarah Strathman, and school social worker, Amy Bach. The Infinitec team was thrilled to meet Jamie and her family, and they thanked us for helping Jamie share her funny, sweet, and magnetic personality with them. We are all so proud of Jamie and her school team at Whittier, and we can't wait to see what she does next!
